The Vietnam Handicraft Conservation and Development Festival 2023 is scheduled from November 9th to November 12th, featuring numerous engaging activities and the participation of international organizations.
As per the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the nation currently has more than 5,000 craft villages and villages engaged in specific trades. Among them, the number of recognized traditional craft villages meeting the present government criteria is 2,008, attracting approximately 1.58 million workers with an average income of around 5-6 million VND per person per month.
With the third prize achieved in the 2023 Hanoi Handicraft Products Contest, artist Lê Xuân Hưởng is honored to be recognized at the Festival.
This is a significantly meaningful activity aimed at preserving, conserving, reenacting, and promoting the distinctive traditional cultural values of the nation, forming contemporary cultural characteristics of Vietnamese craft villages. It particularly focuses on the craft villages in Hanoi as the center, disseminating these values to other regions.
