“Champa Streak of Sunshine” is a paper carving – shadow art exhibition of Lan Hoi Community Art Project – “Borrowing Time Vibes”
Champa which used to be a country located in the Southern of Vietnam has a long-standing history and integrated into Vietnam territory under the Nguyen Dynasty from the early nineteenth century. Located between China and India-two great Eastern empires of culture at that time, Champa culture is a special mix of the two cultures and local beliefs in Vietnam.
Our desire is to provide a more comprehensive way of looking at Champa art to the audience, and this exhibition also marks the maturity of Lan Hoi in 2013. The whole content is created by Lan Hoi team, therefore it will contain many unique individual elements, hoping it will inspire the perception and respect of Champa art to the spectators.
