As October arrives, it brings with it a gentle chill in the air, the sight of yellow leaves falling, and the sweet melodies of love songs. October feels as tender as the warm embraces from grandmothers, mothers, and sisters, evoking memories of Vietnamese women who are “heroic, resilient, loyal, and capable.”
Inspired by these deep emotions, the theme “Her Palettes” blossoms like a work of art, serving as a heartfelt tribute to women. In this exhibition, the beauty of Vietnamese women—ranging from traditional to modern—is elegantly portrayed through vibrant colors, unique materials, and emotionally rich artworks.
We are proud to present four talented female artists: An Dang, Nguyen Thu Thuy, Mai Kim Uyen, and Dang Hien. Each of these passionate artists brings her own touch to every brushstroke and artwork, forming a lasting connection with Nguyen Art Gallery. From lively oil paintings to exquisite ceramics, they will weave a captivating tapestry that highlights the inner beauty and gentle strength of women.
Nguyen Thu Thuy
Artist Nguyen Thu Thuy is a versatile creator who beautifully blends painting with education. Though she began her career as a lecturer, she has made a significant shift into the art world and is now a prominent member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. Thuy not only loves painting but also has a deep connection to ceramic art. In recent years, she has dedicated more time to exploring her artistic passions.
Thuy’s style stands out with her unique combination of colors, shapes, and perspectives. For her, each piece is a way to express profound thoughts and ideas about life and culture. She has a special bond with Nguyen Art Gallery, always eager to participate in themed events and contribute her colorful, refined creations.
Dang Hien
Born in 1982 in Hoa Binh, artist Dang Hien is a talented young creator who graduated from Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts. Her artistic style is rustic yet elegant. Using traditional Vietnamese materials like natural paint, she tells everyday stories and emotions through her unique lens. Her standout pieces not only celebrate human beauty but also convey deep meanings about modern life. Eager to contribute to “Her Palettes” Dang Hien brings works filled with emotional depth and rich tradition.
An Dang

She boasts a rich artistic career with years of teaching and creation, gaining recognition in both domestic and international art circles. With educational backgrounds from Hue University of Fine Arts and Mahasarakham University in Thailand, An Dang’s style merges the refined beauty of nature with a contemporary outlook.
In her works, she often focuses on images of young women, a theme that evokes deep emotions and fresh explorations for her. Her pieces for this exhibition reflect sensitivity and refinement in every brushstroke. An Dang sees “Her Palettes” as a wonderful opportunity to showcase the harmony between colors and forms, providing a new perspective on the beauty of women through her lens.
Mai Thi Kim Uyen
Born in 1986 in Quang Nam, Mai Thi Kim Uyen discovered her painting talent early on and pursued a professional creative career after graduating from Hue University of Fine Arts. After navigating many ups and downs in life and work, she chose to dedicate herself fully to art and creation. Kim Uyen expresses that her true happiness lies in painting, with each piece representing a chapter of her life story.
Her artistic style merges personal emotions with life experiences. She often explores the thoughts and feelings of women on their quest for happiness, turning each painting into an emotional diary. Her notable works, “Out There Is a Vast World” and “Life is a Story,” convey powerful messages about struggle and self-discovery. With “Her Palettes” Kim Uyen hopes to present vibrant hues that reflect both joy and sorrow, as well as life’s challenges.
