The exhibition celebrates the August Revolution and the 40th anniversary of the general Tet offensive launched by the Southern people against the Sai Gon administration and American troops in Spring 1968.vietnam modern art
The paintings were selected from eight artists’ creation camps organized by the association since March. Works are rendered in lacquer, acrylic, oil, water color on canvas and paper. This year, painters of Chinese origin were represented by watercolors for the first time.
Artist Huynh Van Muoi, head of the association, said the quality and quantity of works of this year’s composition camp was better than previous years. The works can be seen at the HCM City Fine Arts Museum, 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1, until the end of the month. — VNS
