Entitled Adam, Eva & Three Dots, the exhibition is the result of a competition launched last November. More than 100 students of the FPT-ARENA Multimedia Centre in Ha Noi submitted about 200 works in the competition.
The resulting exhibition, says centre director Mai Thanh Long, “expresses honest opinions about gender and the artists’ responsibility to the issue in the modern era. The way the artists present their opinions about sex, love and other issues in modern life is very creative, expressing their personal ego.”
On Friday, the exhibition’s organising board granted prizes to pieces in the “On the Wall” and “On the Screen” categories.nguyen art gallery
US$500 scholarships were given to the three-piece set Qua Khu, Hien Tai & Tuong Lai (Past, Present & Future) by Le Thanh Tung, and the video clip Adam, Eva & Moi Dieu Sau Do (Adam, Eva & Everything After).
Con Mat Thu Ba (Third Eye) by Do Duy Tung and the animation Friday the 13th by WTF Group won second prizes, while Bo Roi (Drop) by Nguyen Trung Truc won the 3rd prize, granted in the On the Wall category only.
“A prize for the public’s favourite piece, voted on by exhibition visitors, will be awarded on the exhibition’s closing day,” Long said.nguyen art gallery
