Nguyen Art Gallery is honored to serve as a platform for these artists to express their talents. Here, the “blooming flowers” of watercolor art invite viewers to immerse themselves in a world rich with emotional and artistic nuances.
Nguyen Phuong
Born in 1978 in Hanoi, Nguyen Phuong is an artist deeply passionate about creating with watercolor. Despite his childhood love for drawing, he only began pursuing art seriously in 2018. Before this, he studied at The Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and Interior Design at the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts. Encountering watercolor marked a turning point in his creative journey.
Guided by experienced mentors, Nguyen Phuong found a strong connection with watercolor, focusing his art on landscapes. His paintings capture the essence of nature, skillfully playing with light and colors, portraying scenic beauty through gentle yet powerful strokes.
Minh Dam
A native of Hanoi, Minh Dam brings a refined and distinctly European touch to his art. Moving to Poland with his family at the age of seven, he graduated with a master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Warsaw University of Technology. He has since established himself as a prominent watercolor artist in Poland.
As a co-founder of the Polish Watercolor Society, Minh Dam has taught and exhibited his works in nearly 30 countries. His solo exhibitions in Poland and Vietnam, notably at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in 2022, affirm his talent and creative strength. Currently, he is a lecturer at the Hanoi Architectural University, sharing his rich expertise with Vietnam’s younger generation.
Thanh Ha
Born in 1981, Thanh Ha took a long journey before returning to her passion for painting. After graduating from the University of Mining and Geology and working for years at the Vietnam Petroleum Institute, her decision to pivot to art led her to a vibrant and colorful world where she truly thrives.
Her paintings are distinguished by bright, lively tones that reflect joy and optimism. For Thanh Ha, every detail is carefully rendered, and each color not only serves as a means of expression but also tells a story of strong emotions and life’s joys.
Dinh Duc
Born in 1978 and a native of Da Lat, Dinh Duc graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts. His work is deeply rooted in landscapes and nature, with a particular focus on the serene scenery of Da Lat, where he resides.
For Dinh Duc, each painting creates a space for viewers to explore, not just through images but through the interplay of colors and forms. His unique style gives his works simplicity and familiarity while maintaining artistic depth, transforming each landscape into a moving narrative.
Phuong Thao
Born in 1996, Phuong Thao graduated from the Hanoi University of Architecture. After briefly working in architecture, she realized her true passion lay in art, especially watercolor painting. With her delicate and elusive personality, she found a special connection with watercolor, a medium offering both freedom and challenges.
Since 2020, she has fully dedicated herself to teaching and creating art. Her paintings embody softness and elegance, using gentle shades to reflect the beauty and depth of life.
Duc Tien
Born in 1993 in Hanoi, Duc Tien is a promising young artist in Vietnam’s art scene. After graduating from the Hanoi University of Architecture, he began painting as a personal hobby and soon discovered his deep passion for art. Particularly drawn to watercolor, he decided to pursue it as his primary artistic path.
Through his work, he masterfully employs the fluidity and movement of watercolors to create vibrant, emotionally resonant paintings. His pieces showcase both technical precision and an ability to convey depth and subtlety, offering viewers captivating stories and emotions in every layer of color.
At “Colors in Bloom”, immerse yourself in an artistic space filled with emotions and colors. The watercolor works of these six talented artists are more than just paintings—they are stories and vivid experiences of nature, life, and emotions.
